Julie & Nick: WVU & Downtown Engagement, Morgantown, WV Wedding Photographer

Upon meeting Julie and Nick at Panera (my fave meeting spot!) earlier this summer, I knew right away that their personality as a couple was very relaxed and comfortable with a little spice of fun! I was anxious for their engagement session because I couldn’t wait to capture such a personality. Julie and Nick didn’t disappoint.

They were snuggly, love-y and giggly throughout the entire session, which are some of my favorite emotions to capture while working with engaged couples. Add that to being pretty relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera, which Julie and Nick totally were, and you’ve put the icing on my engagement session cake! :)

Julie and Nick left the session feeling good about what we had captured and confident about what we will capture on their big day in November! Enjoy my favorites, y’all!

We started at WVU’s downtown campus since both studied at the university…

These are seriously part of the first 10 shots taken! Their personalities were evident right away and that’s exactly what I was hoping for. :)

Julie standing on her tip toes to smooch with her man. Cute!

They blew me away with their kissing-in-front-of-the-camera skills! They made it look so romantic and dramatic. ;)

See! So romantic. :)

I found a blue and yellow wall! Had to represent WVU!

Churches with red doors always make great photo locations…

All cute and giggly. :)

After our stroll through the campus and downtown area, we decided to head to Hazel Ruby McQuain Riverfront Park where Julie and Nick wanted to whip out their unique and fun sides with a little vintage-inspired shoot…

Dancing at the train station…

I was warned I’ll be seeing more dance moves at the wedding. Apparently Julie LOVES to dance! ;)

More drama…

Julie got her dress at Goodwill and it fit perfectly! She even added her own little fluff petticoat underneath. I also enjoyed the white keds…very appropriate!

A colorful mosaic wall and lovely sunlight to end the session…

They are SO good at this!

Oh Julie and Nick, you were a breath of fresh air! I love your style and am so glad you were so comfortable in front of the camera…even if you were a little nervous. ;) You guys are totally gonna rock it on the wedding day! Thanks for a really great session!
