Courtney & Beau: Wisp Resort Wedding, Deep Creek Lake, MD Wedding Photographer

Five years ago when Brian and I were planning our wedding, we considered getting married at the Wisp Resort at Deep Creek Lake in Maryland. Things didn’t end up working out for us there and I never got to attend a wedding at the venue…until this past Saturday!

When Courtney told me she was going to have a mountaintop ceremony, I immediately started to envision the beautiful outdoor pictures that we would get and naturally I was excited. But the rain came and didn’t stop until afternoon when Courtney and Beau made the final decision to move the ceremony inside. I totally felt for them because we had to do the same for our wedding. Nonetheless, just like at my wedding, we were able to get beautiful pictures at the indoor alternative location.

The red color, gusty winds, falling leaves and chilly temperatures of Courtney and Beau’s wedding was the perfect introduction of the changing seasons. Enjoy their special day in the mountains of Maryland…

Courtney had two pairs of shoes…including these red Converse sneakers!

Courtney’s dog was the ring bearer!

Don’t ya just love Courtney’s super curly curls??

One last hike of the garter before the first look. ;)

First look moments…

This mountain will be covered in snow in two months!

It was cold and windy…can you tell??

Favorites! :)

Caught these two during cocktail hour. How cute are they??

Beau’s classmates giving up some number ones for WVU!

These cookies were DELICIOUS! Like Eat n Park smiley cookies, but better!

My off-camera flash fired, but my on-camera flash didn’t…a lovely little accident, I suppose. :)

One of my favorites from the day! Courtney and her dad. :)

Dancin’ shoes. ;)

Courtney and Beau, CONGRATS and thanks! Despite the ugly weather and change of plans, you remained calm and in good spirits, and I think your wedding was a big success! We definitely captured some beautiful moments, funny faces and awesome dance moves…and the rain didn’t hinder that at all! Let’s get together and do some mountaintop pictures next year! :)
