The WVU Farm hosted kids’ days this week so Ally and I spent some time on the farm this morning…
We checked out the cows first. I think Ally was most amused by my moo-ing.
Then it was off to the lamb area! Ally loved hearing their sounds!
This was one of my favorite moments of the morning – Ally standing on her tip toes to see in.
One mom told her little girl to go over and look at the baby (meaning the baby lamb) and the little girl thought her mom meant Ally! HA! She was one of the smallest kids there, so I guess you can’t blame the little girl.
Ally and the chickens…she was not impressed.
This is where it got fun! A mama goat and her two baby goats. Ally was so excited about them! I loved watching her reach out her little hands to pet them…
Gotta show off the cheeks!
Only Ally would be on a farm surrounded by animals and get excited about a rock! Goodness!
The little baby pigs were soooo cute!!
It wasn’t until I started going through these pictures did I realize how much of a big little girl Ally is growing into. She was hangin’ with the big kids!
The is one of my favorite pictures from the farm! Ally was just tall enough to peek in at the baby chicks. She watched so contently even though she couldn’t reach in and pet them like the other kids. Such a good little girl!
There was something about those ducks…
Lastly, my favorite animal on the farm, the horse! I keep telling Brian that I’ll have a horse someday. Probably when I’m older, retired and can afford for someone to take care of it for me!
Do you see the horse reacting to Ally here? He didn’t really neigh at her, he just shuffled his mouth. I love her reaction.
Ally is getting bigger so we’re able to do things like this now. I didn’t need her diaper bag and I didn’t need her stroller. Just me, my little girl and of course my camera! Definitely looking forward to more outings like this in the near future! Hopefully we’ll get to the Pittsburgh Zoo sometime soon!
